AI Nightmares & Shipping Disasters: A Cautionary Tale 😤
I feel compelled to share my terrible online shopping experience to warn others. My time is valuable, and I have wasted so much of it trying to track down my order and dealing with a useless AI system. If you don’t need customer service and you want an AI to handle your calls then this is for you. This is the second pair of glasses I have ordered and although I gave them a second chance their service is terrible. The tracking information stated there was an issue with the delivery and that I would be contacted shortly. As you can guess, no one followed up. The US Postal tracking said: Insufficient address. After all this, I felt I had no choice but to try and get a real person on the line.
Customer: I'm calling about my order. The tracking says "insufficient address" and I was supposed to be contacted, but I haven't heard a thing. This is unacceptable.
CS Rep: I am so sorry to hear about this frustrating experience. I can certainly understand your annoyance, and I apologize for the lack of follow-up. Can I please have your order number to investigate this for you right away?
Customer: It's [Order Number]. I had to fight through your AI system just to talk to a person. I was supposed to have these frames over a week ago. This is a complete waste of my time.
CS Rep: Thank you. I see the problem here; there was an error when your address was entered into our shipping system. I have corrected it and will personally process a re-shipment with expedited service at no cost to you. I sincerely apologize for the error and the delay.
Customer: Fine. Just make sure it actually gets sent this time. Don't spend your hard-earned money with them; I know I never will again.
CS Rep: I completely understand. You will receive an email with the new tracking information within the next hour. Again, I am very sorry for the trouble this has caused you.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
